Mission:
To provide an environment where education and exploration of the history of sewing, the sewing machine and sewing artifacts can be discovered and remembered by a large community of visitors who will be inspired to gain and retain knowledge of the craft of sewing.
Sewing History Museum's Objectives are:
To provide new and exciting ways to view and experience the wonder of the sewing machine and its artifacts: By breathing new life into old machines, our founder and executive director will be setting a high standard for visitors’ experiences at Sewing History Museum Inc.
To create a working environment conducive to success and to provide an open creative atmosphere without fear of judgment, harassment, discrimination, or prejudice, with the goal of building long term relationships. Sewing History Museum understands that meeting these goals is primary in its success.
To be an active and vocal member in the community: To provide continual re-investment within the community through; sponsorship of community activities and celebrations, supporting art and craft events, hosting classes, hosting performances, providing jobs, providing scholarships, hosting community fund raisers, providing training, revitalization projects, and more.
