The Sewing History Museum exists to inspire curiosity and appreciation for the Art of Sewing by providing a place where the history of sewing, sewing machines, and sewing artifacts can be explored, experienced, and preserved for future generations.
Vision Statement
The Sewing History Museum envisions a vibrant community where the art, innovation, and cultural impact of sewing are celebrated and remembered, inspiring new generations to explore creativity, craftsmanship, and the stories woven through the history of sewing.
Sewing History Museum's Objectives are:
To provide new and exciting ways to view and experience the wonder of the sewing machine and its artifacts: By breathing new life into old machines, our founder and executive director will be setting a high standard for visitors’ experiences at Sewing History Museum Inc.
To create a working environment conducive to success and to provide an open creative atmosphere without fear of judgment, harassment, discrimination, or prejudice, with the goal of building long term relationships. Sewing History Museum understands that meeting these goals is primary in its success.
To be an active and vocal member in the community: To provide continual re-investment within the community through; sponsorship of community activities and celebrations, supporting art and craft events, hosting classes, hosting performances, providing jobs, providing scholarships, hosting community fund raisers, providing training, revitalization projects, and more.
